5.7 Earthquake in Nevada Was Felt in Fresno on Monday

FRESNO, CA, (KMJ) – An earthquake struck in Nevada and could be felt in Fresno on Monday afternoon.

A 5.7-magnitude earthquake was recorded by the United States Geological Survey in Lyon County, about 13 miles North-Northeast of Yerington, Nevada.

The quake struck 220 Miles from Sacramento, but was felt in Fresno at Radio City, with microphones swaying.

No damage or injuries were recorded.

The quake came a week after a 7.0-magnitude quake was recorded by the United States Geological Survey in Humboldt County.

That quake shook the West Coast and prompted a tidal wave warning.
