Major Cocaine Bust by CHP on I-5

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) A CHP officer is being credited with making a major cocaine bust in the north Valley.

Approximately 37 pounds of the drug were found during a September 7 traffic stop on I-5 in Merced County.

The street value is estimated to be around $1.3 million.

Two suspects, both from Oregon, were arrested.

Tyler Smith and Angel Pacheco are in the Merced County jail, held on numerous felony charges including possession of cocaine for sale, transporting the drugs and conspiracy to distribute.
