Suspect Found In Online Threat Against Elementary School In Selma

SELMA, Calif. (KMJ/KFSN) — Police say they’ve found the suspect in a recent school shooting threat in Selma.

This is one of several posts professing violence against Valley students just this week.

School staff reported a video circulating on social media that claimed there would be a shooting at Roosevelt Elementary on Friday.

Detectives say they tracked down the teen responsible and found no evidence of the intent to carry out the threat.

The case will be forwarded to the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office with the recommendation that charges be filed.

This marks the fifth investigation of threats at Valley campuses this week.

Other threats have occurred at schools in Fresno, Visalia and Strathmore.

Three students were arrested in separate cases.

One threat was unfounded.
