FRESNO, CA – The City of Fresno is offering a way for senior citizens to beat the heat and enjoy a blast from the past by providing free movie tickets for select showings of classic movies.

Seniors in need of relief from the heatwave next week are encouraged to attend the showings, completely free of charge, at the Regal Clovis 8 Movies located at 2301 Villa Ave. in Clovis.

Tickets are free for seniors, aged 60 and over, during the select three showings each day.

Classic films that will be shown include Casablanca, Singin’ in the Rain, and Bringing Up Baby.

The free tickets and offers for discounted snacks at the theater are the result of a partnership between the City of Fresno, Regal Cinemas, and the One Fresno Foundation.

The showings will begin on Monday, July 22, 2024, and will run for two weeks.
