Campaign to Help Cat House on the Kings in Parlier

PARLIER, Calif. (KMJ/KFSN) — The largest no-cage, no-kill cat sanctuary in the state is holding its annual online fundraiser.

The Cat House on the Kings in Parlier is working to find permanent homes for rescued cats and kittens in our area.

Beth Caffrey says the “Every Kitten Counts” campaign is underway and you can help.

Caffrey says right now, they are in the summer “flood” of kittens, arriving at the shelter.

The Every Kitten Counts” is an online fundraiser to be able to take in more kittens and save them from the streets.

Right now, you can adopt a kitten for $70 or a pair for $100. Contact them for more details.

Lynea Lattanzio founded and runs The Cat House on the Kings, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation which receives no government or public funding, and relies entirely on donations from the public to carry out its mission.

Since its founding 32 years ago, The Cat House on the Kings has saved an estimated 52,311 cats and 7,900 dogs, not counting the 90,000 animals (est.) they have spayed & neutered. They currently care for more than 700 cats and kittens, a dozen or so dogs and dozens of peacocks.

By fundraising, The Cat House on the Kings can continue their mission is to place rescued cats and kittens into loving, permanent homes; to provide a safe, happy and healthy home for unwanted cats and kittens in a unique, no-cage facility; to prevent pet overpopulation through spaying and neutering; and to educate the public about responsible pet ownership.
