FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ/KFSN) – A known gang member has been sentenced for the stabbing death of a man in Fresno.
Friday morning, a judge ordered Jesse Gonzalez to serve 30 years to life in prison for the 2021 murder of 27-year-old Angel Cortez Flores.
Police say Flores was experiencing homelessness and living in a camp when he was discovered in a pool of blood at Olive and Palm.
Detectives used surveillance footage from the area to identify Gonzalez as a suspect.
Gonzalez waived his appellate rights in this case, meaning he cannot appeal his sentence.
