FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ/KFSN) – Construction work will be underway at the intersection of Tulare and Minnewawa Avenues in southeast Fresno.
Fresno Public Works crews began installation of stop bars and stop signs at the intersection at 6:30 am Thursday.
It comes after an incident back in January, when Ruben Almaraz, who lives near the intersection, was nearly struck by an out-of-control car while getting his mail.
Many residents have complained about the dangers of traveling through that intersection, whether in a vehicle or on foot.
Drivers were told to expect lane closures through Thursday afternoon while the work was being performed to make this intersection an all-way stop.
