Original ‘Incredible Hulk’ Actor Lou Ferrigno Holds Meet & Greet in Clovis

CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) — Central Valley Super-hero fans got to meet the man who played Marvel’s Strongest and Angriest Avenger on the small screen.

On Sunday, actor and retired bodybuilder Lou Ferrigno visited the “Legends Comics and Games” store in Clovis.

At the age of 21. he won his first Mr. Universe title. Ferrigno starred alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the documentary Pumping Iron. He became known for his role as the original ”Incredible Hulk” during the 1977-1981 television series. Ferrigno appeared as himself in recurring episodes from 2000-2007 of the television sitcom, The King of Queens.

Ferrigno became a Los Angeles County reserve sheriff’s deputy in 2006. In 2010, he was sworn in by Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio as as a member of his volunteer sheriff posse.

Ferrigno was at the Clovis comic shop signing autographs and taking pictures.

He spoke with KMJ’s News Partner, ABC 30 Action News about his visit to the Central Valley.

“It’s great here, I’m here in Clovis got the phenomenal fans here, great to be back especially since we got passed COVID,” Ferringo said. “Great store, great owner especially when they give to the public, people come here to buy a game… very exhilarating… very positive.”

The owner of the Legends Comics and Games says he was glad to be able to do this for customers and the community.
