FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — The Fresno man convicted in the death of his former girlfriend’s two-year-old son has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.

The charges stemmed from the death of Xander Villalobos.

The toddler died in October of 2021.

A coroner determined he suffered a lacerated liver and injuries to his spinal cord.

Moton testified he found Xander was not moving and tried life-saving measures — then shook the toddler.

He was the only witness in his own murder trial.
