Several Pets Die in Visalia House Fire

Just after 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night, Visalia Firefighters were called to a house fire in the 4300 block of West Tulare Street. When the first unit arrived on scene, they found heavy fire and smoke showing from the front of the home.   

Two people were inside, but they were able to evacuate on their own safely. Unfortunately, several pets died in the fire.  

Fire crews controlled the fire within 20 minutes and remained on scene for three hours to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.

The fire caused a moderate amount of damage to the home. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
