YOSEMITE, Calif. (KMJ) — Hikers heading up to Half Dome might not be alone on the trail as of late.
According to Yosemite National Park, recent evidence has indicated that a black bear has made its way to the top of Half Dome.
“Yosemite bears are excellent climbers and can easily tackle the 46-degree angle – no cables needed!” said Yosemite National Park.
While you’re on the way up, the park service says to be aware of your surroundings while at Yosemite National Park and to keep smelly things like food or sunscreen inside a bear canister or locker.
