(KMJ) – The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) conducted the first Phillips Station snow survey of the season on Tuesday.
The survey found that the average is 177% for this date.
Snowpack across the Sierra Nevada now measures 174% of average for this time of year.
While that total is good, it’s just 64% of the April 1st average, so more snow is needed between now and then.
Listen to the report by KMJ’s Liz Kern.
