VISALIA, CA (KMJ) – A one-year-old is in critical condition and a woman at the baby’s daycare in Visalia is under arrest.
Visalia police learned about the toddler’s injuries on Wednesday, after a 911 call of an unconscious one-year-old at the Imagination Playhouse Daycare on the 3300 block of W. Sunnyside Ave.
First responders started CPR and the child was rushed to Kaweah Health.
Officials told police that the injuries were not an accident.
The toddler was airlifted to Valley Children’s Hospital.
On Friday, investigators arrested 41-year-old Amanda Taylor who was caring for the child at the daycare when the child was injured.
She has been booked into the Tulare County Adults Pretrial Facility on suspicion of causing major injury.
She’s expected in court next week.
