VISALIA, CA (KMJ) – The Visalia Unified School district said a ransomware attack took place Tuesday morning at the south valley school district.
Visalia Unified said the cyber attack impacted the operation of school district IT systems.
Many district IT systems are offline until further notice.
Local and federal law enforcement have been notified and are aware of the incident.
Visalia Unified is working with a cyber security business to mitigate the cyber-attack and restore IT systems back to normal operation.
VUSD families are being asked to continue to check their emails for updates.
