Liquor Sales Halted at Fresno Store Following Fatal DUI Crash

(KMJ) – The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) posts a Notice of Suspension at a Central Fresno convenience store for selling alcohol to a teen who then caused a fatal, DUI crash.

State officials say the Quick-N-Shop Liquor West Shields at West is immediately prohibited from selling alcohol until its suspension concludes on May 31, 2021.

That action comes after a May 2020 crash at Golden State and Belmont that killed 18-year-old Reyna Briseno and seriously injured a 17-year-old passenger.  Investigators say Briseno’s blood alcohol level was well over the legal limit prior to the crash.  And, they add, she was able to buy alcohol, despite her age, at the Quick-N-Shop.
