Fresno County Moves Into the ‘Red Tier’

Fresno, Madera and Kings Counties are all moving into the ‘Red Tier’ on Wednesday.

This means that local restaurants can welcome diners indoors at a 25% capacity.  Good news for eateries as the Valley weather begins to warm up.

Gyms, museums, movie theaters, churches and retail shops will also be able to unlock their doors now that Fresno County has improved to a ‘substantial’ risk level, according to California’s ‘Blueprint for a Safer Economy’.

Bars, nightclubs, bowling alleys and saunas remain shuttered.

Tulare County, where the COVID-19 outbreak was rampant in the early stages of the pandemic, was moved into the Red Tier two weeks ago.

Merced, San Joaquin and Inyo Counties are the only California counties still stuck in the Purple Tier, meaning a ‘widespread risk level.
