(KMJ) – Fresno sees its 10th and 11th homicides of 2021 following a weekend shooting in the southeastern part of the city.
Around 1 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to a home near Lane and Backer where gun fire erupted following a dispute at a birthday party. There, Fresno Police say they found 31-year-old Felicia Becerra and 29-year-old Oudara Chounramany both suffering from gunshot wounds.
Becerra, who was celebrating her birthday, died at the scene. Chounramany was rushed to the hospital where he later died. Officers add a 26-year-old third victim was also sent to the hospital but is expected to survive.
Fresno Police have yet to release any motive for the shooting or any description of possible suspects.
