(KMJ) – A section of the Pacific Coast Highway is now closed to all traffic after part of the roadway is washed away by heavy rain and debris.

The Highway Patrol in Monterey says Highway One about 30 miles north of the San Luis Obispo County line was hit with storm debris and washed into the ocean.

Cal Trans assessment teams will inspect the damage to the PCH Friday.  But, as this point, they have NOT given any time frame for when the coastal highway will reopen.
