(KMJ) – Fresno Fire crews had no idea who or what was inside a burning vacant house when they responded to the scene on Thursday.
Whey they arrived at the scene on the 3800 block of East Woodward, crews found smoke pouring out of the structure. Inside, they found someone had been trying to burn wire on the floor of the vacant home and that started the blaze.
But they also found a small puppy sealed inside a backpack in the room where the fire began. Fresno Fire checked out the pup to make sure she was okay before turning her over to the SPCA.
