Police Arrest Selma Man, 53, for Hit & Run of Kingsburg Fire Captain

KINGSBURG, CA (KMJ) — Kingsburg police say they arrested a 53-year-old Selma man for the hit and run that injured a Kingsburg Fire captain.

Captain Kevin Clark was on the scene of a gas leak call on Tuesday, Dec. 8 in the area of 10th and Winter when he was hit by the car.

Captain Clark was taking pictures of the area and was standing on the sidewalk in full gear when the car drove up on the sidewalk and hit him throwing him into a power pole.

Police located surveillance photos of a car leaving the scene and released it to the media to help catch the driver.

Kingsburg Police arrested 53 year-old Rory Dale Carlock, who they said was on probation for a previous drug charge when the crash took place.

Carlock is being booked into the Fresno County Jail on felony charges including hit-and-run, arson, and possession of meth.
