Community Regional Medical Center’s On-Call Neurosurgical Services Will Resume

 

FRESNO COUNTY PRESS RELEASE:

The Fresno Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Agency was notified Thursday morning by Community Regional Medical Centers (CRMC) administration that on-call Neurosurgical Services will resume in full operation beginning at 5:00 pm on Friday, September 11, 2020.

On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, CRMC was given notice that it must have on-call neurosurgical service in place on a 24 hour / 7 day a week basis by Friday, September 11, 2020 at 5:00 pm or lose its designation as a Level 1 Trauma Center.

CRMC’s notification to the EMS Agency of its intent to resume neurosurgical on-call services, thus EMS Agency has stopped any action to suspend Level I Trauma Center designation.

CRMC is a pivotal provider of medical services in Fresno and the surrounding counties.

This Level 1 Trauma Center designation allows CRMC to provide critical service in Central California. The Fresno County Department of Public Health and the community value CRMC’s impact and work in the region.
