Grocery Service Instacart to Add 300,000 Jobs

FRESNO, (KMJ) – With so many people staying at home, the grocery delivery company Instacart is looking to double the company’s current staff.

Instacart wants to add about 300,000 people to its workforce.

Instacart drivers are treated as independent contractors, just like ridesharing drivers.

Instacart says it will now offer all of its new drivers paid sick time if they do test positive for coronavirus.

Several big box stores participate with Instacart including Sam’s Club, Costco, Aldi, CVS, Petco, Sprouts, Vons, Save Mart, Food Maxx, and Target.
