FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Fresno City Council members introduce a revised marijuana ordinance.
The ordinance is being sponsored by Council member Miguel Arias and Council Member Esmeralda Soria.
The new plan for marijuana in the city was released in a statement sent out Friday, Jan 10, 2020.
Revisions to the new plan included consultation with the Administration, Police Chief Andy Hall and the Industry.
Revisions to the ordinance include:
- Clarifying Language: The City Councils prior approval of the Cannabis Regulatory Ordinance for Adult Use and Medicinal Use.
- Transfer of licenses: Change of ownership/management will occur during an annual renewal process.
- Safety: Video Footage for 90 days, panic button connected to private security companies not police department.
The revised ordinance will be introduced at Fresno City Council on the 16th and considered for final adoption January 20th.
