South Valley Mother of 4 Found Dead, Estranged Boyfriend Suspected

PLAINVIEW, Calif. (KMJ News) — A missing a missing South Valley mother of four is found dead in Imperial County.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office say 36-year old Brittney Steenbergen was last seen December 28 at her home in Plainview.

On January 1, the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office responded to a body found in a rural area.

Friday, a positive identification on the body was made, and determined it was Steenbergen.

The case has been updated to a homicide investigation.

Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux says the suspect is Adel Bussein, her estranged, live-in boyfriend.

Local, state and federal law enforcement agencies say they are actively working together to find Hussein.
