(KMJ) – Ag Crime Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office arrest a suspect accused of dumping the bodies of a dozen dead cattle on a South Valley property without the owner’s consent.

This case dates back to October 15th, when Detectives were called to a dairy in Pixley.  There they found the bodies of 12 dead cattle reportedly dumped over a two month period.

Tuesday, Detectives and CA Department of Food and Agriculture brand inspectors made a compliance check at the Pixley property of 53-year old Luis Palomares.  There they found dozens of unopened bottles of veterinary medicine bottles along with more than 1,000 empty med bottles.

Palomares was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property.
