FRESNO, COUNTY CA (KMJ) – Property crimes detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office need the public’s help to identify a man who stole a 20 gauge shotgun.
According to surveillance video, just after 4:00 am on September 27, 2019, two men in a dark blue, older model, four-door Honda car pulled up to a gas pump at U&A Mini Mart.
The business is located on the southeast corner of Highway 180 and Academy Avenue in Sanger.
The driver entered the store and purchased some drinks.
He got into his car and began to drive away.
He then made a loop through the parking lot and stopped behind a small pickup truck parked at another gas pump.
The passenger got out of the Honda and appeared to look into the bed up of the pickup truck.
The driver then got out of the car, reached into the bed of the truck and took a shotgun which was stored inside of a case.
The owner of the gun had just finished a hunting trip and placed it in the back of his truck.
He made a report to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office after noticing his shotgun was gone.
The suspect’s car has some distinct features.
It has wire wheels, the paint on the roof and trunk is oxidized and there is a marking on the right side of the hood.
If you have any information about the suspects in this case, please contact Detective Patrick Beggs at (559) 600-8390.
