Officers made an arrest in Visalia today, on firearms and drug charges.
Tuesday, officers were dispatched to Recreation Park in Visalia regarding a complaint of
drug usage.
Upon arrival, the officers observed 4 subjects around a vehicle.
They noticed an odor of marijuana coming from a vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the finding of a manufactured firearm, 2 ounces of marijuana, and items associated with the sales of marijuana.
19 Year Old Jose Carlos Hernandez-Pena was taken into custody without incident for charges of possessing a concealed firearm, possession of marijuana for sale,
and possession of a manufactured firearm.
He was later transported and booked in the Tulare County Pre-trial Facility.
