Repeat Sex Offender Sentenced To 400 Years to Life in Prison

TULARE COUNTY, CA (KMJ) – An elderly repeat sex offender is sentenced today to 400 years-to-life in prison.

66-year-old Steven Wing was sentenced in Tulare County Superior Court on Thursday.

Wing was convicted by a Tulare County Jury of molesting a girl from the time she was 4 — to the time she turned 6.

The crimes occurred between February 1, 2015, and July 21, 2017.

All twelve crimes occurred in various areas within Tulare County.

On August 16, 2019, a jury found Wing guilty of four counts of sexual penetration of a child ten years old or younger and eight counts of lewd act upon a child under the age of fourteen. The jury also found true the special allegation of substantial sexual conduct and that Wing was a habitual sexual offender. The jury also found true that Wing has a prior conviction for lewd act upon a child under the age of fourteen from November 1985. Each count is a felony and all are considered strike offenses.

Wing will also be required to continue to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.
