ROSEVILLE, CA (KMJ) – Memorial services for El Dorado County Deputy Brian Ishmael took place Tuesday morning in Roseville.
The 37-year-old was ambushed in the line of duty on Oct. 23 responding to reports of marijuana theft in the Somerset area.
Four people were arrested in connection with his death.
Services took place at Bayside Church’s Adventure Campus in Roseville,
‘Ish was everybody’s loss. I was just lucky enough to know what I lost,” said friend Wes Kohutek.
After the memorial, there was a procession from Roseville to Placerville at noon.
The Sheriff’s Office had encouraged people to line the streets in a tribute to Deputy Ishmael.
