TULARE COUNTY, CA (KMJ) – A mother called a sexual predator by a South Valley District Attorney is sentenced.
Coral Lytle pleaded guilty to 21 felony counts.
The 42-year-old mom was sentenced Monday in Tulare County Superior Court.
She’ll spend four years behind bars in state prison for having sex with a pair of teenage boys, who were friends with her daughter.
Lyte had engaged in inappropriate relations with two freshmen from Redwood High School, while they were dating her daughter.
Prosecutors says she gave the boys alcohol and vape pens.
The DA said the series of crime began in 2017.
The Visalia Police Department also investigated this case.
In a statement, District Attorney Tim Ward said “Coral Lytle is a predator and this office was prepared for years to tell that to a jury. While I am grateful that she will serve prison time and have to register as a sex offender, the sentence doesn’t reflect the lifetime impact she made on her victims,” said DA Ward. “This case is not a joke and our office is appalled by some of the social media comments. These are real victims who have to deal with the real consequences of Coral Lytle’s crimes. There is no place for these types of victim shaming comments in today’s society.”
As part of her sentence Lytle also has to register as a sex offender for life.
