FRESNO, CA (KMJ)- The high speed rail authority and the City of Fresno reopened Mono Street between G and H Street on Friday.
The move allows motorists and pedestrians to access Fresno’s Chinatown district.
City Councilman Miguel Arias explains the significance.

Tinoco also explained what the rail might mean for the local job market and economy in the Valley.
The street will remain open until the spring of 2020 as construction crews prepare to install several utilities.
