Fast-Moving Wild Fire Torches Homes in Los Angeles

(KMJ) – Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti confirms several homes have been lost as city fire crews continue to battle a wind-driven wild fire that broke out early Monday morning.

This blaze broke out around 2 a.m. in the Sepulveda pass of the 405 near the Getty Center Museum.  It quickly grew to about 400 acres and forced evacuation orders for over 10,000 homes and structures, including some in he Mountain Gate and Mandeville Canyon communities.  That includes a home owned by L.A. Lakers star LeBron James.

Parts of the 405 between Supulveda and Sunset remains closed to traffic in L.A. as well.

The cause of this fire remains under investigation.
