(KMJ) – An accused Fresno County serial killer entered a “not guilty” plea while appearing in court Thursday.
33-year old Buford King is an Army veteran who served in Iraq. But the Squaw Valley man is now accused of killing 35 year old Aleksey Shelest and 62 year old Donnie Lee (both of Squaw Valley) , as well as 51 year old Alberto Contreras of Visalia. Detectives say King was an acquaintance of all of three men.
Two of their bodies were found buried on King’s property in Squaw Valley back in March. And, weeks later, Detectives located Contreras’ body buried on the 16000 block of Avenue 264 in Visalia.
King remains in custody and his bail has been set at $3 million.
But investigators believe there may be more victims in this case and say this investigation remains open. And they ask anyone with additional information about Buford King to contact Fresno County Sheriff’s Detective Jose Diaz at (559) 600-8204 or Valley Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP (7867).
