UPDATE: PG&E shut down power to thousands of customers in Mariposa County, impacting about 1800 customers.
Power could potentially be cut to more than 800,000 customers in 34 counties.
PG&E’s website has crashed several times as customers access which areas being affected by the power outages.
UPDATE: The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office issued an update that PG&E was shutting the power off at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
The locations for the outage, listed below, has not changed.
To support customers in the affected areas, PG&E has open the Community Resource Center located at the Coulterville Fire Dept – 10293 Ferry Road, Coulterville.
The center will be open from 8 a.m to 6pm daily for the duration of the outage.
Restrooms, bottled water, electronic-device charging and air-conditioning will be provided.
At noon on Wednesday, PG&E began to shut off power for some areas in Mariposa County.
The following areas affected:
- Greeley Hill
- Lake Don Pedro Subdivision area
- Granite Springs Rd Area
- Lake Mc Clure
- Merced Falls Rd Area
- Lake Mc Swain
