FRESNO (KMJ) – After 17 years and more than 150 sessions, Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer conducted his final Crime View meeting with reporters.
“It’s bittersweet,” Dyer said.
The chief is set to retire officially on October 15th, but he’s burning some vacation time until then, and he will increasingly be out of the office.
He says Crime View has been a useful tool for law enforcement.
“I can guarantee you there would have been a significant amount of crime in this city, absent our Crime View model,” Dyer said.
The search for Dyer’s replacement is ongoing.
