TULARE COUNTY, CA (KMJ)- Tulare Police have arrested a boy after they were notified of a threatening video of him on social media.
On Sunday, Aug. 4, Tulare Police were contacted by the FBI that there was a “Snapchat” video that allegedly showed him holding what appeared to be a high powered scoped rifle and making possible threats to commit school violence.
He referencing lyrics to a music video from the band “Foster the People” with their song called “Pumped up Kicks” with the words “all the other kids better run faster than my bullet” and “better outrun my gun.”
Detectives arrested him at his home and located the rifle that was a scoped air rifle they say can easily be mistaken for a high powered rifle.
He’s been booked into The Glen Moran Juvenile Detention Facility.
The Tulare County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case.
