FRESNO (KMJ) – With the Democratic debates coming up Tuesday night, Senator Kamala Harris is unveiling details of her health care plan.
Harris plans to put 330-million Americans onto a single government health insurance system.
Saying she supports Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ “Medicare for All,” but that private insurance still has a role to play, as long as it takes its lead from the government.
Medicare for All would replace the Affordable Care Act with a single-payer health plan for all Americans.
Harris says as president she’d allow 10 years for a full transition to the program.
