FRESNO (KMJ) – FUSD Bullard-area trustee Terry Slatic is under scrutiny from his board colleagues, who have called a special meeting to discuss Slatic’s behavior, related to his recent controversial visit to Bullard to address the school’s cheerleading squad.
“We’ll see how that goes, I think it’s pretty unprecedented,” Slatic said.
Slatic says he will attend the meeting.
A notice says the board will address whether to express official disapproval of Slatic’s actions on campus, in the form of an official censure, to request that Slatic be officially escorted by an administrator when he visits campus, and whether to permanently ban him from Bullard.
“If you have an opinion about how things are going at the district, whether it’s northwest Fresno, or Bullard Cheer, or any of these other topics, please come down to this board meeting at 5:00 and get your three-minute slot to speak to the public and to the trustees,” Slatic said.
