HANFORD (KMJ) – An arrest in the case of a Hanford boy who was shot in his home.
After a rapid investigation that took mere hours, Kings County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested 29-year-old Rowdy Paulo and charged him with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and shooting a firearm at an inhabited dwelling.
“He would have been right directly in the path of the bullet as it went through the house,” Bevins said.
Kings County Sheriff’s spokesman Mark Bevins says Paolo fired one shot early Tuesday morning, striking a 5-year-old Hanford boy in the back of his head. The child was taken to the hospital where deputies say he’s in stable condition.
“Upon searching his residence, we did locate a firearm that we recovered,” Bevins said.
Deputies say Paolo lived about a mile from his alleged victim’s house and he had a history of conflict with the boy’s family.
