LOS ANGELES (AP) – Health officials are investigating if two measles patients exposed others to the contagious virus.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health says Saturday two Los Angeles County residents were diagnosed with measles after recent travel outside the country. Patrons of the Geffen Playhouse on June 7 and the Toscana Restaurant in Brentwood on June 8 may have been exposed.
Officials say there is no known current measles risk at either of the locations, and the two cases are not linked.
Health authorities say 10 county residents have been diagnosed with measles in 2019, as well as eight people who traveled through Los Angeles County. Most of the patients were unvaccinated.
