FRESNO, CA (KMJ) —Good Samaritans chase down a driver who hit 14 cars on Highway 99.
The California Highway Patrol says they are not sure why he did it.
The CHP says 50 year old Satinerjit Singh Bali of Lathrop was traveling from Madera to Fresno just before 8:30 Wednesday morning.
According to the CHP, witnesses stated he was chasing and crashing into multiple cars on the highway.
It started in Madera and continued into Fresno, where he got off the 99 on the Shaw Avenue exit.
He was taken down by Good Samaritans at North El Capitan and West Sierra Madre.
Officers then arrested him.
The CHP says he faces misdemeanor charges of hit and run and driving under the influence of drugs.
The Sheriff’s Office said Bali would be cited out and released from the Fresno County Jail, Wednesday evening.
