(KMJ) – Madera Police say a man with a history of drug abuse beat a family dog to death because he says the animal was too playful.
Officers were called to the 800 block of D Street just before 9 p.m. Monday when a large pool of blood was spotted in a family’s driveway. Police followed that trail to a garbage can where, inside, they found the body of the female Shepherd / Lab mix named “Linda.”
When confronted by Madera Police Officers, 27-year old Ambrocio Hernandez admitted to killing the dog saying it was “bugging him.” Hernandez reportedly had meth on him – and was arrested for animal cruelty and drug possession.
