TURLOCK, CA (KMJ) – Fresno and Turlock Police hope someone recognizes a group of women who stole from beauty stores in both cites.
On Monday, February 25, 2019, at approximately 11:30am, Fresno Police say four women went into the Ulta Beauty Supply on Blackstone and Nees.
Police say the four suspects went to various display aisles and proceeded to place several beauty products, including bottles of perfume, into large bags which they had brought into the store with them.
An employee tried to take away the bag and got into a fight with one of the suspects.
The bag ripped and items fell to the ground.
All four suspects, described as black adult females, left the store without paying for the merchandise, then left in either a silver four-door Toyota Camry or Nissan Ultima which had the license plates removed.
Just hours later, around 1:27pm on Monday, Turlock Police Dispatch received a call from an employee about a theft in progress at the Ulta Beauty Supply in the 2800 block of Countryside.
While the employee was on the phone, the four suspects fled the scene.
Turlock Police arrived on scene about five minutes later and began their investigation.
During this time, a customer inside the store began to record the crime occurring, and shared it on several social media sites
The suspects were in the store for less than one minute, and again left in the four-door silver sedan.
Both Fresno and Turlock Police Departments have been made aware of these types of “takeover thefts” having occurred throughout the valley over the last several months and will be working with other agencies in an attempt to identify the suspects.
