3 Potentially Explosive Honey Oil Labs Busted in Central Fresno

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A series of potentially explosive honey oil labs are busted in Central Fresno.

On Tuesday, Fresno PD’S Narcotics team working with Clovis Police, and the HIIT Team served search warrants, finding dangerous, highly flammable chemicals.

Honey oil is made by soaking marijuana in a solvent, but the chemicals can be explosive.

Sergeant Tim Tietjen says the three large sophisticated labs were set up at a commercial building on Maple Ave. just south of McKinley.

“You’ve heard of them using butane, but what they are using instead, is a highly sophisticated chemical but it’s highly volatile and could have caught that building on fire and that could have spread very quickly,” said Sergeant Tietjen.

55-year-old Eugenio Vidosola was arrested for making the narcotics, and providing a location to make and sell them.

Police say their investigation is not over.
