Fresno Bank Robber Gets Away Red-Handed, Literally

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A man who police say robbed a North Fresno bank will be literally red-handed, and is on the run in Fresno.

Fresno Police Captain Burke Farrah told KMJ that the suspect robbed the Compass Bank at Palm and Shaw around 10:30am, Friday morning.

“He went in to the bank and demanded money, told the bank teller they [sic] were armed, bank provided some cash but in the middle of that was a bank dye pack, said Captain Farrah.

Captain Farrah adds that the red dye pack exploded in the vehicle — covering the suspect.

The suspect vehicle is described by Captain Farrah as a silver Chrysler 200, driven by a Hispanic man covered in red dye.

The vehicle was last seen traveling Southbound on Palm Avenue.

Anyone who sees them is asked to call 9-1-1.
