FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A Woodlake Police officer is being accused of sexual assault.
On September 11, 2018, a woman told patrol officers with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office that she wanted to report a complaint on a Woodlake Police Officer, who she said had sexually-assaulted her.
Investigators interviewed a number of people and discovered another victim, who told them she, too, had been sexually-assaulted by the same officer.
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office says the victims do not know each other. They have not released the age of the alleged victim or when the crimes may have occurred.
On September 13, Detectives arrested 26-year-old Oscar Robles, who’s now facing charges of Penetration With a Foreign Object, False Imprisonment, Assault Under the Color of Authority and Intimidation of a Victim.
Robles was arrested while on duty in the afternoon on Thursday, September 13th.
Robles is being held in the Kings County Jail for his own protection, his bail is set at $460,000.
During a press conference held on Friday, Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreax asked for any other victims to contact their office.
“We would encourage any potential additional victims of this suspect that we have arrested to come forward and tell you story,” said Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreax.
