Multiple Sexual Assault Charges Filed Against Accused Rapist in Central Fresno

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Multiple sexual assault charges are filed against an accused rapist, who allegedly attacked a 52-year-old woman in Central Fresno.

Fresno police say the rape was all caught on tape.

It took place early Sunday morning, behind a business at Shields and Palm.

24-year-old Micah Collins from Bakersfield told police he did it because she quote “disrespected him,” and quote “he “wanted to put a baby in her.”

Police Chief Jerry Dyer said β€œhe’s an animal. he’s an individual that does not need to be free in our society and I am thankful he has been arrested and removed from our streets.”

Chief Jerry Dyer says the female victim was well-educated – with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree — but had been living on the streets for 4 years.

Dyer says she will receive medical treatment for the assault on the body and the fractures to her face and psychological counseling – to cope with the death in the family that sent her to the streets in the first place.

As for Collins, police are looking into his possible involvement with a murder. If convicted of these current charges for the rape, he faces a sentence of up to life in prison.
