Both Curiel-Martinez and the victim have family in Tulare County.

It happened Wednesday, August 28th, just before 9:00 p.m. in El Monte.

She was a mother of four kids, and was five months pregnant with a boy.

Nunez was taken to a hospital where both she and the baby were pronounced dead.

He was armed with a handgun and last seen running from the house.

Deputies do not believe the other children were at the house at the time of the shooting.
