FRESNO, CA (KMJ) Fresno native and Cleveland Browns linebacker Mychal Kendricks has been charged with insider trading.
The Department of Justice made the announcement Wednesday. DOJ officials say the Hoover High grad conspired with an employee of Goldman Sachs to get the scoop on upcoming mergers which brought him $1.2 million in illegal profits.
Kendricks, who won a Super Bowl with the Eagles last season, issued an apology saying he’s cooperating with authorities and accepts full responsibility for his actions. The Browns say they’re aware of the situation but are not commenting.
