Fresno State Hires Justin Hutson As Men’s Head Basketball Coach

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Valley native Justin Hutson has been hired as the new men’s head basketball coach at Fresno State.

Currently, he is the associate Head Coach at San Diego State.

Hutson replaces Rodney Terry with the Bulldogs after Terry left to coach the UTEP Miners.

Hutson grew up in Bakersfield, and played at Bakersfield, winning two NCAA Division II national championships.

He coached at Bakersfield High before launching his college coaching career.

Hutson says coaching at Fresno State is his dream job!

He promises to “be bold!” and develop players of character with strong academics.
